This gem of an ecostyle find came to us from FG reader Christine Lim. Gorgeous handmade necklaces, bracelets and earrings available through Lucina, a company that brings together West Coast jewelry designers with fair trade importers to create exquisite and eco-friendly pieces.
The Sterling Loop Tagua Necklace ($248) strikes a perfect chord of elegance and earthiness. Designed by Scarlet Chamberlin it’s made from Cooperativa Tagua squares from Ecuador and features turquoise and olive jade accents. Wear long, wrapped twice, or clasped at center with long drop.
Crema Colada Necklace ($268) features natural Tagua loops from Ecuador (aka vegetarian ivory), with Quartz Crystal and graduated Mother of Pearl accents on 14k gold fill. Like many of Scarlet Chamberlin’s designs, this piece can be worn many different ways.
The Pomegranate Coil Bracelet($46) designed by Ronda Kelly features red choclo seeds from Colombia and Balinese silver finials wrapped about an interior coil crafted from recycled Colombian pesos. Simply stunning!
Thanks again Christine!

These cute clutches found at hip and zen are inspired little business card folios in power pink or black that feel very Legally Blonde. Happily, they’re vegan so I suspect that Elle Woods and Bruiser would approve.
Cell phones and cosmetics can be stashed in these clutches fabricated from recycled candy wrappers and school books. According to hip & zen, these little bags are made according to Fair Trade Policies in Mexico by Women’s cooperatives.

For those who like industrial chic, these clutches made by Escama are woven in Brazil from aluminum soda tabs and hand crocheted nylon thread.
Available in 8 colors, my personal favorites are the black and orange which seem to best convert caps to a little raw bling bling.
Finally, this strawberry purse made from recycled plastic bags is also made according to Fair Trade practices.

To check out these and other goodie bags, visit hip & zen.
